LaunchCode is a non-profit solving the tech talent gap and paving new pathways to economic opportunity through education, apprenticeships and job placement in technology. We're seeking a hyper-motivated associate to perform NASA-safety-check-level-crucial elements of our education program in St. Louis.

The Education Program Manager:

  • Creates, tests and deploys education materials
  • Sets up and maintains technical systems to support courses
  • Researches and evaluates educational materials
  • Oversees pilot course implementation & delivery in order to assess effectiveness
  • Maintains active communication with instructors and teaching assistants to address timely issues, learn about areas needing improvement, and support course delivery

This is a full time, permanent position based at the LaunchCode headquarters in St. Louis.

You're perfect for this role if you

  • Are hungry to share your programming knowledge, and gain skills in new areas of programming
  • Possess baller communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Feel empathy for working hard to learn challenging new skills  
  • Have strong experience in one of these areas, and moderate comfort with at least one more: object-oriented Java, object-oriented C#, front-end web programming (framework-based JS, HTML, CSS)
  • Are fluent with Git
  • Have regular access to a computer & phone
  • Are highly organized and detail oriented

Our Bonus Skills Wishlist

  • Background teaching coding skills to others in a classroom-like setting
  • Instructional design experience with technical curriculum materials
  • Knowledge of Spring, ASP.NET MVC or Flask
  • Intermediate Python skills
