Training Program Manager


LaunchCode is a non-profit solving the tech talent gap and paving new pathways to economic opportunity through education, apprenticeships and job placement in technology.  We're seeking a hyper-motivated program manager to lead crucial elements of our tech training programs and help us expand tech greatness across the land.

LaunchCode is looking for an individual who is passionate about the LaunchCode mission and has a background in operations and technology to contribute to LaunchCode's Targeted Training program.

LaunchCode's Targeted Training is a new initiative that seeks to provide additional value to companies by tailoring training to an organization's specific technical needs.  The Training Manager is a fast-paced position that requires a willingness to learn about a broad range of technical areas and coordinate the development and execution of training solutions closely tied to a company's stated needs.

The role will touch many parts of the organization including sales processes, candidate recruitment, course delivery,  and curriculum development & sourcing.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at the LaunchCode Mentor Center in St. Louis on Delmar Blvd.


  • Identify company needs, and communicate LaunchCode's value proposition.
  • Source and manage curriculum creation process on topics such as modern software engineering best practices, full stack development, CyberSecurity, GIS, and DevOps.
  • Coordinate instruction and content delivery to experienced and less experienced developers in a classroom setting.
  • Recruit and evaluate candidates for training opportunities both from LaunchCode's existing programs, and externally.  
  • Provide mentorship to candidates (technical & non-technical)

You're perfect for this role if you have --

  • Experience working with software development teams, as either a developer or product manager/owner
  • Experience managing operations, and implementing scalable processes  
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others, particularly in a professional context
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies
  • Demonstrated passion for lifelong learning
  • Demonstrated passion for the LaunchCode mission
